Road Trip | Karla LaVey’s Black Xmas in a Blacked Out Alfa Romeo

Locals | Made it to Karla LaVey’s Black Xmas

I decided to give myself a Xmas present and rent a nice car for the holiday week. [I told Karla years ago I would do this when I was ready for this life] It’s a very quick car, good for small roads, the city and surprisingly as a freeway commuter. The 8 speed gearbox means it downshifts three or four gears when passing on the freeway so it stays in the torque band. Gulia long travel suspension, four wheel drive, Alfa turbo four. (1)

Karla LaVey is The Queen of San Francisco

Karla LaVey is The Queen of San Francisco

Near the end of our lives and with the passing of time — friends and family — we end up being at the top of our circles. The really neat thing is figuring out what to do with it.

This simple fact ends up with Anton LaVey’s daughter Karla Maritza LaVey being in most likely the highest ranking former Soviet Union foreign service diplomatic family in San Francisco and maybe the whole U.S.A.

The Kings New Wand

At the risk of sounding corny, if I remember right the Queen of England once was asked if her wand was magic and she said it was not. Secretly we all agreed it was, how else could it be? We thought the problem was the Chancellor did not know the magic words to use it and only the Queen knew them. In addition they were using that long one to tap people on the shoulder which meant you were either being naughty or someone wanted to talk to you.

Sadly she has passed away and Charles is now King. This brings up the small matter of whether or not he will admit his wand is Magic or is this the secret reason why people are moving to California where wands are still thought of as real?

It seems like a very small matter indeed but perhaps people should think about it for a bit before saying no again. I think it was up to the individual to admit it or not before but,.. hope springs eternal that people will believe in magic again.

I don’t know if it would change anything but I think it’s a 100% serious matter to consider for image relations if nothing else.

I Sing in The Garage

Sorry about that if you were trying to stop by and talk.

Winter Window Colors

[Hold it away from you about 3 to 4 feet, until the lamp get’s feathery,.. “Cut Glass Mirror 1932 lights up like that on the edges, Wait it has another couple of hidden surfaces to show you”]
Yep, even the the inside silk,.. Classic, Period Perfect Naughtier than heck in the lampshade nymph if you ask some “Other people who see things in the Ouzo”. [In a Pure Pure Gray Corner when it’s reflected and far away it makes a graphic wall design]

Beadwork with the milky

German Silver Mirror Magic

1959 Overhead metal cutout lamps [“Jet Exhaust Like”] hi-lite the blue/black silk curtains. Walls are Munsell Gray roughly a 15% K  ceiling is white. Edge of mirror line points to center of rug. It’s “a kind of design magic” when it works right. 1930’s dressing set with period lamp in mirror. Lamp beadwork in clear, black and gold.  Mies Barcelona Chair. It’s a completed story room.

Silver Mirror Magic

The lights frost the tops of the silk curtains. depending on how you drape the pleats it can create subtle lighting effects.
Different look with the “Lantern Tent Light” and the late sun. Closet space is open for trunks and suitcases. No Magic in the mirror right? It went Flat? I am slightly in a different spot,.. to a child it’s magic. The rainbow reflection on the armoire? It’s all around you. That kind of a child like magic perspective. Can you see the overlapping shadows on the ceiling by the window? The 3k led light on the white ceiling?

I know it’s minutia — sometimes it matters when you are trying to distract yourself.
